The youth group at Grace Lutheran Church of Lily Lake consists of young adults ranging from 6th – 12th grades.  The Youth Group Program provides opportunities for social, educational and spiritual development through such activities as athletics, lock-ins, retreats, field trips, liturgies and service activities. This includes outreach to and recruitment of youth to participate in the program, as well as the development of both youth and adult leadership. 

• Welcome Picnic  June 12th at LeRoy Oaks Forest Preserve.  We will be welcoming in our new 6th Graders.  This is a family event!!  An evite will go out, please make sure you RSVP.

• Elburn Food Pantry  June 16th. Contact Camille if you can help this night at the food pantry.  This is a great experience and a way to help out the less fortunate in our own community.

• Great America  June 29th. Save the date, we are heading to Six Flags! We are hoping the mycokerewards.com will again offer a free ticket.  If not, we can see about getting a group rate.  If you have interest in going, please sign up in the youth room or email Michele Dannewitz by June 20th.  Friends are always welcome to come as long as we have enough chaperones/drivers.

• Spoke Folk July 17th.  Spoke Folk is a biking and musical ministry tour. All these people (starting at age 15) are from different states all over the country. They bike during the day and share an evening concert/worship service with each host congregation. Spoke Folk is very passionate about sharing and living the Gospel through biking, music and community. Come and enjoy this concert.  Look for more details next month!

• Leadership Lab July 18th thru 23rd – Augustana College.  Leadership Lab is designed to assist youth acquire skills that will be useful in congregational, synodical and national youth ministry settings and in their local communities and the world.  Each level of Lab is structured to help participants progress in their ability to be responsible youth ministry leaders and helps them grow in their awareness of God, self and others.  Everyone who is eligible to attend should have received a letter from Camille. • VBS July 25th thru 29th.  Mrs. Stanley & Mrs. Gust are coordinating again this year.  Please contact them to help out.  It is a lot of fun and a great way to give back to our church.

Over the summer other events could be scheduled.  Please check the website to see what has been planned.

To sign up for any event, please check the bulletin board in the youth room. It is important to attend mission teams as this is where most of the planning is done.
